University of the Free State E-Mail

All registered students will receive a free e-mail account, hosted at http://www.ufs4life.ac.za.

This email account will never expire, so even if you are no longer studying at the University of the Free State, you will be able to use this email account.

Your new e-mail address is yourstudentnr@ufs4life.ac.za . Note that all new e-mail sent to your old e-mail address will be forwarded automatically to your ufs4life account.

Internet access to ufs4life.ac.za will not be billed.

The old WebMail system in no longer available, please make use of ufs4life.ac.za.

WebMail

Please open WebMail which is located at http://student.ufs.ac.za:83.

Login with your student number and novell password.

All email needs to be in your INBOX to move it to ufs4life. If you have any folders please move it to the inbox now.

Click Folders.

For each of the folders, except INBOX, you have to do the following. Click the folder, eg. Facebook.

Click select all and then move.

Select INBOX from the dropdown list, and then click apply.

UFS4life

Please open ufs4life which is located at http://www.ufs4life.ac.za.

Login with your student number and novell password.

Click on settings.

Click on Accounts.

Click on Add a mail account you own.

Enter your student number@student.uovs.ac.za.

Click next step.

Enter your student number in the username field.

Enter your novell password in the password field.

Click Add Account.

Select No.

Click Finish.

Click Next below to continue...

Your mail might take some time to migrate to ufs4life, depending on the amount of mail you have.
